二．专家介绍Introduction of Lecturers

Mei-Fu Zhou: Professor of Earth Sciences at The University of Hong Kong where he teaches Principle Geology, Economic Geology, Advanced Geochemistry and Geological Heritage of Hong Kong since 1996. His research interests include ophiolites, large igneous provinces and mineral deposits. In the 1990’s, Zhou worked on komatiites in Zimbabwe, podiform chromite deposits in Tibet and the Sudbury Ni-sulfide deposit in Canada. His recent researches focus on the tectonic evolution and mineral deposits of South China and surrounding regions.

Peter Laznicka: Fellow of SEG; Prof (retired) from University of Manitoba, Canada; founder of Data Metallogenica. He is an expert in the global distribution and geological setting of especially metallic deposits with emphasis on empirical (visual) characteristics, supported by on-site familiarity with ~3500 deposits in ~85 countries (most are now represented in Data Metallogenica). Definition and organization of ore types and favorable plays ("geosites") described in 7 major books.

Albert Hofstra: Researcher from United States Geological Survey (USGS). He has published 83 papers in numerous famous international journals with 1478 citations. His studies mainly contributed to geomorphology, volcanology and hydrogeology.In recent papers, he combined mineral thermometry with fluid inclusion to constrain the mineralization of pea ridge iron oxide-apatite-rare earth element deposit in St. Francois Mountains Terrane, USA.

Daniel Harlov: Researcher ofGerman Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ); Fellow of the American Mineralogical Society. He got his PhD of geochemistry in Purdue University, USA. His research interests are modeling of ore-forming process of giant deposits, experimental metasomatism, the Al-Si-O system as a function of P-T-XH₂O,IOCG deposits, the role of fluids and melts during high grade metamorphism, and the stability and function of accessory REE-bearing minerals as a function of metamorphic grade.

Jian-Wei Li:Chair professor of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan); Fellow of SEG. He is interested in porphyry and skarn systems, Carlin-type gold deposits, orogenic gold deposits, fluid inclusion and ore genesis, geochronology with applications to ore genesis, weathering and supergene mineralization and petrogenesis of igneous rocks and their bearing on ore genesis. He has presided over a number of projects focusing on giant deposits and published many papers in different leading magazines such as EPSL, GCA, Geology, Economic Geology, Lithos, MineraliumDeposita,etc.

Huan Li:Lecturer of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He got his PhD in Kyushu University, Japan. He has many research experiences on giant metallic deposits and published some international papers regarding this subject. Recently he is focusing on the W-Sn and Sb-Au mineralization in South China and Au deposits in North China Craton. He has traveled many countries to investigate giant deposits, such as Japan, USA, UK, Australia, Mongolia, India, etc, with fruitful results.
